Cole grew up surfing in Manasquan, New Jersey, and has been riding waves since he was just a little kid. He’s always loved the ocean and the feeling of being out in the water, but it wasn’t until he started competing in surfing contests that he realized just how much he loved the sport.
In June of 2019, Cole traveled all the way out to Trestles State Beach in California for the NSSA finals. Trestles is a world-renowned surf spot, known for its consistent waves and challenging conditions. But before the contest started, Cole got in some practice sessions at Uppers, one of the sections of Trestles that’s known for its fun surf and good steep walls for snaps.
