A couple women’s surfing pros, Frankie Seely and Kaitlin Maguire, decided to take over the lineup at Swamis Beach in Encinitas and put on a noseriding longboard show. The two women, both skilled longboarders, paddled out into the crowded lineup and proceeded to catch many of the best head high waves that came through that surfing session. Their smooth, graceful noseriding skills were on full display as they rode the waves with ease and style.

Surfing is often thought of as a male-dominated sport, but women have been making waves in the industry for decades. On January 19th, 2018, two professional women’s surfers, Frankie Seely and Kaitlin Maguire, decided to showcase their skills and take over the lineup at Swamis Beach in Encinitas, California.
The session was not only impressive, but it also challenged the stereotype that women are less capable than men in the world of surfing. These two women proved that they were just as talented and skilled as any male surfer in the lineup that day.
This display of female surfing talent is important because it can inspire other women and girls to pursue their passion for surfing, regardless of gender stereotypes or societal expectations.
Frankie Seely and Kaitlin Maguire’s performance at Swamis Beach serves as an inspiration for young female surfers everywhere to pursue their dreams and challenge the status quo. Let’s hope we continue to see more women’s surfing events and demonstrations in the future.
