Surfing is a sport that is not just about catching waves but also about experiencing the natural beauty of the ocean. When the wind, tides, and waves come together to create the perfect surfing conditions, there is nothing better than hitting the beach with your board and feeling the rush of adrenaline as you ride the waves.
On May 4th, 2022, a group of surfers from the Solid Surfboard crew, including Tarcisio Lopes, Mattheus Barros, and Ryan Fegley, scored a great sandbar in Pacific Beach. The morning conditions were not too good, but around lunchtime, the wind turned side shore/offshore for a couple of hours, and the sandbars lit up.
The afternoon air session was a surreal experience. The surfers paddled out into the ocean, ready to catch some waves. As they approached the sandbar, they could see that the conditions were perfect. The waves were rolling in with perfect consistency, and the offshore wind was blowing just enough to make the waves hollow and steep.

The surfers quickly positioned themselves on the sandbar, and the first wave came through. Tarcisio Lopes was the first to catch a wave, and he rode it all the way to the shore, performing some impressive maneuvers along the way. The rest of the crew quickly followed, and they all enjoyed an incredible session that lasted for hours.
As the sun began to set, the surfers slowly made their way back to the beach, exhausted but exhilarated. They sat on the sand, watching the waves as they crashed against the shore, sharing stories and laughs about the epic session they had just experienced.
Days like these are what make surfing such a magical sport. When everything comes together, and the waves are perfect, there is nothing quite like the feeling of riding them. It’s a feeling that can’t be described in words, only experienced firsthand.
So, if you’re a surfer, keep your eyes on the horizon, and when the conditions are right, grab your board and head out into the ocean. You never know when the next epic session will happen, but when it does, it will be worth every second of waiting.
