This episode of the Vlog we swim out at the 2018 UC San Diego Luau & Legends of Surfing Invitational benefiting Moores Cancer Center to do some water photos during the heats. It is very difficult when swimming out to do water photography during a live contest. Ultimately, the camera person needs to make sure they do not get in the way of the competitors surfing.
During this surfing contest there were many notable and legendary surfers. Gregory Harrison, John Philbin, and Matt Adler the actors and surfers from North Shore the movie were out catching waves. Local San Diego shapers, Dane Perlee and Josh Hall both competed in the contest riding their long boards. Rising Youtube Surfer, Ben Gravy, paddled out into the lineup to catch a few on his short board as well.
