Scripps Pier is no stranger to the surfing community. With its consistent waves and prime location, it has become a go-to spot for surfers of all levels. This morning was no exception, as a crew of surfers took advantage of the surprisingly shreddable conditions.
Former professional surfer turned San Diego Fireman, Peter Cuffaro, was among those who hit the waves. Despite leaving the professional circuit, his love for surfing has never waned. As he paddled out, the excitement in the air was palpable. The size of the surf and mostly wind swell may have seemed daunting to some, but to these surfers, it was an opportunity to catch some great waves.
As they waited for the sets to roll in, they shared stories of their past surfing experiences and discussed the beauty of Scripps Pier. With its panoramic views of La Jolla and the surrounding areas, it’s hard not to appreciate the natural beauty of the place.
