In the heart of San Diego, a fresh winter swell greeted surf enthusiasts on December 7, 2023. Surfers, including the likes of Daniel Anthony, seized the opportunity for a mid-afternoon session. Daniel, a native San Diegan, has been featured on SLAW before in one of our People Who Surf features.
As the wind graciously bowed out earlier than expected, the surfers capitalized on the pristine conditions before an impending high tide at sunset. The waves, ranging from 4 to 6 feet in height, provided an exhilarating challenge. Surfers skillfully navigated the occasional unpredictable mush burger.
